The process of planning your wedding and vision begins with a single meeting. For ease and clarity of communication, The Daisy Chain requires that all meetings, including the initial meeting, takes place between the bride and one and only one point of contact. At The Daisy Chain, we are above all interested in hearing our bride’s voice and bringing her vision to life. As such, all information, from financial to creative, will be relayed to the bride and her point of contact alone.
For our first meeting, come prepared to share your vision, event needs, and budget. We invite you to bring any relevant materials—inspiration photos, color swatches, paint samples, family traditions and stories—that apply to your event. And we encourage you to bring only those things that romance and free your spirit. Whatever it is that speaks to you, sparks you, we want to know about it. We are delighted to receive your story.
By meetings’ end, McKenzie O’Grady, Owner and Creative Director, will have articulated a vision: your vision. McKenzie is a superior and sensitive communicator, able to identify the needs of people and flowers. She brings to your event an innate sense of choreography along with an ability to realistically edit ideas and options. Balancing practical with ingenuous design, she will take all the scattered pieces of inspiration and form a coherent plan.
Your first meeting with McKenzie is complimentary, and may run up to 90 minutes. If you decide that The Daisy Chain Studio is a good fit for your creative needs, the following will take place as we continue our journey together:
- A custom proposal will be prepared and sent to you for review.
- A 50% non-refundable Save the Date deposit is due to secure our services for your event. This amount will be credited towards your design fee upon full payment. A working contract will then be signed and a deposit is required. The final amount is due four weeks before your event.
- Upon proposal review, revisions will be made until you are pleased with the design concept. Should the overall direction of your floral design change we are happy to provide one complimentary re-design quote. Each additional re-design will be charged a $75 design fee. A re-design is defined as a change in the overall color scheme, and/or the overall design direction of floral pieces.
Working in the belief that no two stories are alike, McKenzie will often present floral and design ideas you have never seen before. These ideas intersect with your real life, including family traditions and love story. Working closely with you, McKenzie will help you find the soul and story of your event; she will present to you a vision more beautiful (and attainable) than any you can imagine.
Your most sacred moments have fallen into grateful and capable hands. Relax, and know that your story is unfolding beautifully!
